So, no more working for a week or two! I’m off now for some R and R and will be back on Saturday, 10th January and returning to Chambers on Monday,12th January. I won’t be taking much with me – it will mean too much washing when I get back …… I won’t have a phone with me, so will be contactable only by e-mail until the 10th. I will reply, but it may take a while, as it’s quite likely that the lure of the beach or the bar will completely overwhelm me!

A couple of months ago the wife asked what I wanted for my birthday, thinking she wouldn’t agree, I joked a trip to a dungeon. Fast forward, and I was surprised in two ways to find ourselves standing outside the Cheshire dungeon.

Thank you so much for the wonderful session. I enjoyed it immensely. It’s almost as if you have some sort of intuition that picks up on my mood somehow, and you always manage to put together exactly the sort of session I need at the time. You also have an amazing talent for blending old favourites and new experiences together with absolute perfection. The new bench was excellent, giving a nice exposed position, and adding some wax play into the CP dice game was an interesting twist. I hadn’t tried the wall cross before, but it felt good to be so stretched, and it was a very vulnerable position for the electro-play, which I love, as you know. It’s a clever cross between, Scrabble, Cluedo, Twister, Kim’s Game and Kerplunk,with the Monopoly addition of collecting time penalties,drawing chance cards (such as wearing a hobble or blindfold) and buying up the most expensive pieces. Hours of low cost fun, and, as one Apprentice contestant pointed out – NOT ROCKET SURGERY! Happy days ….

The Wheels on the Bus ……
This week’s Apprentice challenge provided Cynthia with a further opportunity to showcase her project manager skills. Her excursion was titled “Mistress, Maid and Slave on Tour” – and what a trip it proved to be! Again, only one unit needed to be sold to provide a good return on the outlay investment.
